TRAMONTANE : Hanse 400 - 8 berth - 39'7"
Isle of Skye Yachts are delighted to welcome the new 400 to the fleet for 2011. “Tramontane” offers three large double cabins, with two heads and big saloon and galley area. Lots of ports and hatches make the interior very light, airy and pleasant to spend time aboard. As with all Hanse's the interior joinery is built for each individual hull, which ensures that the quality of the finish is as high as possible.
On deck, all sail controls are led back to the cockpit so sail setting and reefing can be done in safety and under the shelter of the sprayhood. The self tacking jib is easy to operate and makes changing direction incredibly simple. On the foredeck the hard work is also taken out of anchoring by the two-way electric windlass.
A full range of sailing instruments, autohelm and Chart Plotter are mounted on the consol immediately in front of the wheel. There is plenty of space for a full crew of eight in the cockpit and a cockpit table for al fresco dining.
Boarding from the dinghy is made easy by the bathing platform and walk through transom. The boat has a fully battened main with lazy jacks for easy reefing and stowing. A roller furling jib and storm jib make up the Sail wardrobe.
Below decks there are berths for 8; two in the forepeak, two in the saloon and two aft cabins. The aft cabins are slightly asymmetric in size. Both heads compartments have running hot and cold water and a shower. The aft heads also has plenty of space for hanging waterproofs and even a outlet from the central heating should they chance to get wet!
The spacious galley is fully equipped for cooking on your cruise
with cooker with two burners and oven. A generous two door fridge and
double sinks are provided. The saloon is spacious and beautifully
fitted out in Mahogany and Maple. Entertainment is provided by an MP3
compatible radio CD player.
In the navigation area
which has a seat on each side of the chart table, you will find all the
charts and pilot books required for your cruise. Navigation is aided by
VHF, Navtex and Chart Plotter, so sailing in the area will be made even
more straightforward. The Hanse 400 is a delightful boat with all the
comforts and sailing equipment you would expect on one of the Isle of
Skye Yachts fleet.
