The level of comfort on board this yacht is excellent. Reassuring under all weather conditions, the Dufour 40 is easy to handle by short handed crews, but has enough equipment to make life interesting for bigger parties. A large powerful wheel has navigation instrumentation mounted in and to the side of the pedestal.
Sails and sail handling include multiple clutches, powerful winches, furling genoa, fully battened mainsail with lazy jacks and Spinnaker. The Spinnaker is included in the charter fee. Other "treats" include an electric windlass and teak finish to decks and cockpit.
With the Owners version internal layout, the Dufour is ideal for two couples, but can still accommodate up to 6 by utilising the saloon double. There are two heads and a separate shower compartment.
The yacht is powered by a Volvo 40hp engine, and, should you require it the steering can be assisted by integrated Auto pilot. In the navigation area full modern electronic instrumentation is provided including chart plotter and radar,Navtex and DSC VHF radio.
Central heating, radio/CD and all galley and safety equipment will all be found on board helping you to relax and enjoy sailing this attractive boat. The L shaped galley with double sink,fridge,and two burner stove plus oven, is attractive and easy to work in.
