Above deck you will find all the sail controls lead back to the cockpit for easy and safe handling. The 3/4 battened mainsail with lazy jacks and sail catcher, is quick and easy to stow. Roller furling Genoa and storm jib complete the sail wardrobe. Anchoring is made is easy with reversible electric windlass. There is easy access aboard from the dinghy through the transom gate.
All the Raytheon deck repeater instruments are conveniently situated on the consol in front of the helmsperson. Should you require it the wheel steering can be assisted by integrated Auto pilot. The cockpit table with built in cool box makes eating and drinking on deck very convenient.
Down below there is plenty of space and natural light with many ports and hatches including large panoramic overheads in the main saloon and generous storage. There are 8 berths in 3 cabins plus the saloon; 4 berths aft in 2 double aft cabins with lee cothes to convert the berths to singles if required, a double berth in the saloon plus a double cabin forward. The forward cabin is a large en suite “owners” cabin with generous storage space. There are two heads with showers.
The yacht is powered by a Volvo 55hp engine which will carry you along speedily should the wind not prevail. In the forward facing navigation area full modern electronic instrumentation is provided including chart plotter/GPS and Navtex. For 2013, Sapphire also has an IPad with Navionics charts for customer use.
The galley is fully equipped for 8 persons, Central heating and radio/CD player will add to your comfort down below. As with all our other boats, the Beneteau 423 has full safety equipment to MCA charter standards.
Sapphire can easy be handled by short-handed crews but her spirited sailing performance ensures that she will also provide entertainment for larger parties.
